Having seen three Gresley Pacifics at the North York Moors two weeks ago, and two Crewe products at York a week later, this was the day to get the balance exactly right. The outing of Stanier 4-6-2 No 6201 Princess Elizabeth on a Pathfinder special from Crewe to Holyhead made up my round half dozen of working Pacifics in 16 days: three from each side of the Pennines.
