A special ticket, valid on all Virgin trains for one day, was the excuse for a marathon journey: Manchester Piccadilly - Watford Junction - Birmingham New Street - Bristol Temple Meads - Bristol Parkway - Stafford - Manchester. A great day of train riding and train watching.
