The headlining A4 Sir Nigel Gresley did not make it to the railway, and the 9F and Black Five didn't make it out of the shed, but there were plenty of other treats at this well-attended gala event over three grey but dry days. Notable was the return of Duke of Gloucester six months after its debacle on Shap, and a 'final final' visit from Green Arrow.
