The North York Moors Railway has now splendidly fulfilled its ambition to celebrate the LNER by having three working Gresley A4 Pacifics hauling trains, as well as a variety of other LNER locos and the magnificent Gresley teak carriages. There was plenty of sunshine for my visit on 4 April, when my main objective was to ride the trains. This collection reflects the variety and excitement of a day riding three thoroughbred engines on this beautiful preserved line.
