The North York Moors Railway planned a major LNER festival, but one by one, several of the planned visiting locomotives fell by the wayside. Swiftly, the railway decided to take advantage of some visiting big diesels, including two Deltics, and created an East Coast Main Line Festival. I enjoyed two round trips on the line and, on the way home, stopped at Milford Junction to catch the Duchess on her return from Scarborough.
