An excellent collection of eight locomotives were in steam for this weekend's event, marred only by persistent cloud which meant difficult photographic conditions. No 71000 Duke of Gloucester was the only 'no show' amongst the advertised locomotives, but ample compensation was provided by the magnificent ex-SR 4-6-0 No 850 Lord Nelson making (to my knowledge) its first appearance on ELR trains.
