The East Lancashire Railway has already excelled this year by producing a second feast of steam when 2007 is barely two months old. This event was notable not only for the return of No 71000 Duke of Gloucester, but for the Open Day organised by and for the Friends of 71000, including footplate rides for sections of the journey! There was plenty more to see and the weather was mostly kind on the Saturday - the same can not be said of the Sunday!
