The Vintage Trains team at Tyseley in Birmingham not only provide regular steam outings to Stratford upon Avon, but their faithful GW 4-6-0 No 4965 Rood Ashton Hall makes several trips a year to more distant destinations, some well away from former GWR territory. The Hall took seven brown and cream coaches to Crewe, Chester and right along the North Wales coast to Holyhead. Lively running and sunshine most of the way made it a memorable day out.
