Duchess owners PRCLT are celebrating the anniversary this weekend by throwing open the West Shed at Swanwick to view their manifold railway treasures. On the hottest day of the uyear so far, the Duchess was running on Midland Railway - Butterley trains to both ends of the line from Swanwick Junction, and Patrons and Friends were allowed free rides in the fine ex-LMS Inspection Saloon and Royal Saloon owned by the Trust. It was a pleasure also to see certain other vintage locos in fine condition.
