The atmosphere of 50 years ago was certainly recreated at Kings Cross last night when A4 No 60009 returned from its round trip to York, and simmered quietly under the station roof for an hour after its successful run.

The constraints of a hand-held camera, using available
light, were increased by large crowds, drifting steam and that new curse of the serious photographer, Joe Public with his camera-enabled mobile phone. But, if you can, just enjoy the atmosphere.
